Jitz King Tournament Jacksonville FL 6/17/2023 Match 17 00:46 Nice lateral drop. I’m not sure if that is the correct term anyone with a knowledge of throws feel free to chime in. I think the foot block makes it a different throw. 01:03 The way the bottom guy got his arm around the left leg of the top guy here is super fast and shows great awareness that was about to be a back take. But top guy catches a kimura grip and puts a little pressure on it as they come up. 03:11 This is a very common position where the guy who has his back taken bridges. It is notoriously difficult to finish from here, you must practice breaking the guy down to one side or his belly. 04:35 Getting this position is so powerful. The bottom guy is flattened out and his hips are off the ground because of the top guys feet under them. The top guy only has to get his hand past the neck to apply a devastating short arm chock / face crank. This move sucks. Prior to this the bottom guy had been doing a pretty good job of defense from the back and a lot can be learned from it as he bridges on top of the guy on his back.
