In the once vibrant state-owned factory of Xuri, a dismembered female corpse was accidentally found abandoned in an abandoned sewage tank. The deceased was Shen Xiaozhou, the child of a factory worker. The head of the criminal investigation team, Lian Haiping, was ordered to investigate this case. On the first day, the young criminal Shi Qiangfeng, who was reported, was unexpectedly assigned to Lian Haiping's subordinates. The unexpected case and unexpected combination opened up a destined journey among the three of them to hunt down the culprit. At the same time, this case also brought back an unknown past in Lian Haiping's memory, and his new partner Shi Qiangfeng seemed to be carrying his own secret when he came to him. During the investigation, Lian Haiping was alert and noticed that there was a force deliberately guiding the direction of the police investigation. A mysterious partner with a mysterious background, a first love who died unexpectedly, a deep entrepreneur in the city, and a struggling old factory area... This case connected the truth between the past and the future, with fog like a bright light and hidden waves already surging.
