Ruth Larson's family sells her off to Logan Harlow for money. He icily says that he won't touch her. But when they run into each other at the club, he downs her alcohol in a jealous fit. Ruth asks him to mind himself. But he responds in an aggrieved tone, "Why? Are you scared of others finding out you're married?" This confuses Ruth. Didn't he say they would be divorced in a month? What is he playing at now?
