Alex wants to adopt charming 5-year old little Miley, who lives in Thailand, but according to Thai law, adoptive parents need to be a married couple. Alex recruits his bankrupt auto-dealer brother César Borgnoli to pose as the husband of Alex's friend Kim, and the two will go to Thailand to claim Miley. But it's hard to find an odder couple than Kim and César. And Dr. Luis, Miley's guardian, suspects that something's wrong.
