Tough Brazilian fighter wasn't intimidated by the fight with Ashimov! It's a tough fight for Arman!

On August 30, 2019, the traditional annual international mixed martial arts tournament M-1 Challenge 104 took place in Orenburg. It featured a fight between Flavio Da Silva Santos (Brazil), 9-3, and Arman Ashimov (Kazakhstan), 10-3-1. Brazilian fighter Flavio Da Silva Santos has won numerous tournaments in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai. He has fought 12 professional mixed martial arts fights, winning nine of them. In his nine fights before the tournament, Flavio had won eight of his fights, losing only one by decision to Denis Lavrentiev. Arman Ashimov no longer needs an introduction. He has long since proven himself in both K-1 tournaments and the M-1 Challenge ranks. A powerful punch, incredible technique, and millisecond-precise timing have earned Arman the reputation of a brutal knockout artist, a fight that is simply terrifying for any opponent—too many have been knocked out cold. Flávio is clearly no timid person to agree to such a fight. He would have been best positioned to make a name for himself against such a formidable opponent as Arman. For the Kazakh fighter, this fight was an excellent opportunity to return to the title race.
