So I think PLants vs Zombies 2 had a new development team but I just can't prove it

I am back playing Plants vs Zombies 2. And as a Plants vs Zombies Veteran, pvz 2 is confusing me while I am playing it for the firs time. I spend this episode trying to complete world 1 of Plants vs Zombies 2. And while playing I unlocked a bunch of brand new plants. The Mike Tyson Plant was my favorite. However the plant that confused me the most was Grave Buster. With his design being completely changed I had no idea this was Grave Buster.
