Saenchai is a southpaw technician from Nakhon Si Thammarat in Southern Thailand. He began training Muay Thai at the age of 5 under the tutelage of his father, fighting on 20 occasions before moving to a legitimate Muay Thai camp. At 16, Kaona (then fighting under the name of Nongbeer Chokngamwong) reached the pinnacle of his career by capturing the 108 lbs Lumpini belt. Kaona's most notable wins have come over Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, Superlek Kiatmoo9, Superbank Mor Rattanabandit and Saen Parunchai. He now trains and fights out of Saenchai's gym in Bangkok.
